Jesse Morley, wedding photographer

Hi, I'm Jesse.
Nice to meet you.

I grew up in nipaluna (Hobart), raised on a diet of camping, chlorine and chamber music.

I first picked up a camera in my early twenties and quickly merged it with my other passion, cycling. I shot races, training camps, bikes and equipment, team and rider portraits, and apparel. I enjoyed the aesthetic challenge of producing more editorial-style images, but found I was still most drawn to the candid moments of unfiltered emotion. I wanted to tell stories.

That realisation, paired with my obsession with love, made my path very clear. I was going to shoot weddings.

Philosophy

To be there for the coming together.

It's in vogue to speak about centering one's photographic philosophy around capturing the spontaneous "in-between" moments — and while I agree that genuine unscripted moments are part of the magic of weddings, I also acknowledge that in order to get the shots that you want, you have to put the work in.

I believe my job as a photographer is to help provide a structure to your day that balances losing yourself in the magic of the event and setting up for truly beautiful images to remember it by.
